Hot Cocoa Oatmeal

 
 

Enjoy this winter take on transitional breakfast or an afternoon snack to warm up after a cold day! Topping it off with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips makes it extra special!

You Need:

  • 1/2 cup Old Fashioned or Quick oats

  • 1 Cup milk (½ Cup for Quick Oats)

  • Dash of salt 

  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder 

  • Honey 

  • Mini marshmallows 

  • Mini chocolate chips

To Make: 

  1. Boil water or milk and salt.

  2. Stir in oats and cocoa powder 

  3. Cook for about 5 minutes over medium heat; stir occasionally.

  4. Drizzle honey to taste. 

  5. Top with a smattering of mini marshmallows and mini chocolate chips. 

  6. Enjoy!

*Microwave option: Combine milk, oats, salt and cocoa powder. Cook on high for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through.
