What you’ll need:

  • White cardstock or other thick paper

  • Watercolors (palette or liquid) or food coloring in water.

  • Salt

  • White glue in a squeeze bottle

  • Paintbrush

  • Pencil

  • A little bit of water

  • Snowflake template - you can search online and print out one to trace or freehand it!

To do:

  1. Begin by drawing the snowflake patterns onto your piece of cardstock

  2. Trace the snowflakes with your glue.

  3. Now, sprinkle on lots of salt so that every bit of glue is covered, and shake off the excess once finished.

  4. Paint your snowflakes using whatever paint option you have on hand.

*You can paint your snowflakes while still wet - just be sure to use a light touch while dabbing the paint on so as to not squish the glue. Or you can let your snowflakes dry completely before painting.*
