Yogurt & Fruit Smoothie Bowls
With these fun bowls the kiddos can easily help from start to finish in making this cool treat that everyone can enjoy!
What You’ll Need:
½ cup of yogurt or 1 small carton - any flavor will do, pick your favorite!
Frozen fruit - strawberries, blueberries, mango & pineapple are great options
Water or milk
Blender
Toppings: fresh fruit such as bananas, strawberries, kiwi, blueberries and raspberries along with a heaping scoop of granola
Extras Toppings: chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, bee pollen, goji berries, coconut flakes, nut butter, honey drizzle - the possibilities are endless!
To Do:
Place yogurt, frozen fruit and a splash of water or milk into the blender.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into a bowl and top with your choice of fruit and other toppings.
Enjoy!
Tips:
Invite the kiddos to help prepare the fresh fruit by setting up a washing station for them (a bowl of water for dunking and a colander/towel for draining) as well as prep station with a cutting board and child-safe knife.
Make a “Smoothie Bowl Bar” by placing all toppings out on a tray (a muffin tin works great for this!) so the kids can create their own sweet masterpiece.
Boost your bowl by adding your favorite protein powder or collagen protein directly to the smoothie mix when blending
