Apple Star Prints

Pair this craft with a sweet whimsical story about how apples get their stars.
Your child will be fascinated to find the hidden star inside their very own apple.

What you’ll need:

  • 2-3 apples

  • Card stock paper (best for card making) or large sheets of drawing/butcher paper (best for making package wrapping)

  • Tempera paints - Autumn begets colors of the changing leaves - red, yellow, orange and brown but you can use anything you have on hand or that your child prefers.

  • Plates or palettes for paint

To do:

  1. Core your apples and cut at mid point to reveal the star inside. If need be, use a small paring knife to define the star.

  2. Set out card stock and place a generous amount of paint on each plate.

  3. Stamp apple cores into paint and tap off the excess on a piece of scrap paper.

  4. Press your apple stamp onto paper to reveal a beautiful star! Cover the paper with these stars in all different colors.

  5. The cardstock makes wonderful cards or tags for gift giving and larger sheets make for great wrapping paper.
