2021: A Year in Review
(Written by Emily Thomas)
2021 was a huge year for Napp! Thank you for making all the moments from this past year possible, and for being part of our incredible community! We hope you enjoy our Year in Review with all of the details of our year, each step of the way.
Nappchats
Launched during the pandemic, Nappchats were originally a response to the growing and unfortunate separation we felt as a network - we needed a way to stay close and connected to you! Nappchats have become a lovely opportunity for us to virtually see your faces and chat, but they have begun to serve as a valuable resource for guests to teach and share new perspectives, initiatives, and passions. We LOVE hyping up our members to share what everyone is up to and bring different perspectives to our community. Nappchats are the perfect opportunity for sitters and parents alike to get to know each other and open up dialogue on important topics, while learning and connecting on something new.
Here’s a recap of our wonderful Nappchat participants from 2021!

Napp Network Blogs
We love to stay connected to our fellow Napp families and sitters. Our Napp Network Blog is a great way to learn more about our company, the community we work with and much more. This past year we have featured write ups about the insight of raising mindful children, reconnection and transitions along with up-to-date information about how to utilize Napp to its fullest potential.
Gratitude + Mindfulness = Magic
As parents and caregivers, we strive to raise kind, helpful and responsible human beings while doing our best to help balance their mental health and wellness. Here we discuss the importance of practicing gratitude and mindfulness and provide effective ways to incorporate this magical mindset into your life.
While all the socializing that comes along with summer may feel rejuvenating to adults, it’s important to remember that it can be a huge shift for our kiddos. In this post we dive into the importance of relaxation and reconnection when summer feels like it’s moving at lightning speed.

We’ve Been Busy!
Over the course of the year Napp has been ever changing and improving across many different areas. From the tech world of in-app updates to exciting Napp member offerings and team growth. We recognize that our community thrives on support and advocacy. We appreciate every single person who takes part in helping our company reach its fullest potential.
New Napp Team Members:
Emily: A local Baltimore parent and prior nanny of 10+ years, Emily initially joined our team as Head of Recruitment. Over the course of the past year she has taken on the role of Lead Writer for our Napp Blogs. She also develops the crafts and recipes that are featured in our #NappNews Newsletters! Her educational and professional background provide her with extensive experience in the field of childcare and household management. Being a parent herself, she truly understands the importance of families and caregivers working together to create a balance of home life for their children.
Gracie: Another Baltimore local, Gracie and the Napp team go way back (literally back to diapers)! Gracie is most commonly known for her expertise in social media management and community engagement. Her newest and most exciting achievement yet is becoming a mom! We are so excited to have Gracie on the team assisting with social media and Banks has already almost taken us viral! Check out their most popular reel here.
Eunice: All the way from the Philippines, Euni is our new Customer Success Representative and Administrative Assistant. Euni joined the team in October and we love having her on board to assist with all the things. We have been most excited to discover her talent of editing which we put right to use on our Nappchats which you can view here. Thanks, Euni!
Expansion and Growth
Thanks to our amazing network of families and sitters we have been able to grow beyond our local hometown. Our Austin and Denver Market leads, Betty and Kristen, have been hard at work sharing Napp with their cities and building their own communities. We simply could not spread our wings to new locations without such trusted and valued Napp members. As former Baltimore Napp sitters, they saw a need for us in the cities they now call home. If you are feeling the call to bring Baltimore’s favorite childcare platform to your city, please let us know here. Napp and Academic + Wellness Coaching Workshops
This summer, Napp and AWC took the Napp Summer Camp to a whole other level and brought the community a virtual summer camp experience! It was created to foster growth, bring awareness, and explore deeper community connections through a series of wellness workshops. We had so many dedicated hands on deck and were able to provide help to so many families during such an unpredictable and challenging time.
Summer Camp
Napp Summer Sitters are available to be booked weekly, monthly, or all summer-long (May - September). Click here to get on the list for a Summer ‘22 sitter!
Thank you for looking back over 2021 and reminiscing with us on all the amazing movement Napp has made. We thank our lucky stars for each and every one of you and look forward to an exciting new year ahead!

Katie & Claire, Co-Founders, Napp
