Beaded Bubble Wands + Homemade Bubbles

These DIY bubble wands made with pipe cleaners and beads are such a fun project. Combo them with some homemade bubble and head outside to enjoy the sunshine!

What you’ll need:

  • Pipe Cleaners

  • Wooden dowels or thick wooden skewers

  • Assorted beads

  • Hot glue (optional)

  • Bubble solution (homemade or store bought)

To Make:

  1. Begin by stringing beads onto a pipe cleaner. Once you have your beads strung onto the pipe cleaner, twist it onto the end of a dowel to attach.

  2. You can add a bit of hot glue from the glue gun at this point to make sure they stay in place.

  3. Take the wands out to the yard with a bowl of bubble solution and blow some bubbles!

    Homemade Bubble Solution:
    4 cups warm water
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup Dawn dish soap

Whisk the sugar into the warm water until the sugar dissolves, followed by the dish soap  If able to, let the solution sit for a while (Letting the homemade bubbles sit for a couple of hours or even overnight helps them work a bit better but is not strictly necessary).
