Watermelon Raspberry Slush

 
 

Escape the summer heat with a refreshing and delightful slush!  Perfect for enjoying with the little ones or as a refreshing pick-me-up during those hot afternoons, this cool treat is sure to become a seasonal favorite.  

You Need: 

  • seedless watermelon

  • fresh or frozen raspberries

  • lemon juice

  • knife

  • blender

  • shallow glass pan

  • fork

To Make:

  1. Cut watermelon into small cubes. Put 2 cups of watermelon, 2 teaspoons of lemon or lime juice, and ½ cup of fresh or frozen raspberries in a blender.

  2. Ask an adult to help you blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a shallow glass pan and freeze for 1½ to 2 hours.

  3. Every half hour, use a fork to break up the ice crystals. When the mixture is thick and slushy, it’s ready to eat!
