BRA-VO! (Snack Hack!)
I meannnnnn…. a kid’s snack found on a healthy living website? WINNERRRRR. Not only did we try out this awesome idea for the Littles we care for from Eating Well, but we also continue to publish and credit all healthy snack hacks we find and test that receive two, sometimes four, tiny-thumbs up.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED
• ½ cup whole-milk plain yogurt (vegan/non-dairy/regular all work!)
• 8 pineapple spears (3 1/2 by 1 inch each)
• 1 medium green apple, cored and cut into 6 wedges
DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Spoon 1/4 cup yogurt into each of 2 clear cups. Top each with 4 pineapple spears. The length of the spears should match the height of the cup you are using.
Step 2
Pierce the skewer through 3 wedges of apple and place on top of one cup. Repeat with the other cup.
Step 3
For a fun added touch, go to EatingWell.com/Pineapple to download a free printable face to attach to the cups.
THAT IS IT. Literally. If you’re feeling extra fancy during snack time, feel free to pop in one of those Caribbean drink umbrellas and enjoy a nice, light, and healthy snack with your Little.
See you soon!
